A stupid post at a stupid time by a mad girl.

Had a conversation with my housemates just now. My roommate was going on about how a guy's choosen target to woo sadly cant match up to his standards.

The Senario:
Guy
-good looking
-tall
-good family background
-good in studies

Girl
-stopped studying
-always get dragged out by her school's disipline teacher
-last class.
-currently working in sales
but then again, she IS pretty.

When she asked this friend regarding his choice, he told her he likes stupid girls whose abilities are inferior compared to him.
WHAT THE FUCK!

So there started the discussion between me, my roommate and a housemate named edward.(who was eavesdropping on me and mei wei's juicy conversation.. cannot tahan liao so he joined in)


Me: So, do you share the same viewpoint?
Edward: Well, I think I wouldnt want a girl to be TOO stupid. But then again, I dont want her to be more 'top' then me.
Me and mei wei: 0.o !!!
Me: So are you saying smart girls are scary?
Edward: (smiles)Tell you all la, thats what most guys think.

-speechless, flabbergasted pause in conversation-
Mei Wei: (shakes head) Haiz.. the ego of MEN


Okay. So perhaps high levels testosterones make you feel vulnerable if a girl can figure out what 2+2 means.. but still, I dunno why I feel rather pissed off by the new discovery. I am not smart but at least I am not stupid too. I am rather pissed at the ideology because Its..just so... sexist.

SO, you are saying that men hold the sole rights of being smart and woman should just be stupid brainless creatures whose only point of existence is to be dolled until she gets married to someone who she is suppose to worship like a god to which she will have sex like rabbits in heat and then, together, the happy couple will make it a personal mission to fill the world with mini me-s.


And they lived happily ever after?

What is she suppose to do by then? Look after the kids, cook eight course meals for the family everyday, clean up thus causing her to look like an auntie. Which of course, causes her husband to lose interest in her. like duhThen his eyes starts wandering and fall upon the next stupid girl..and then he will repeat entire above process while she helplessly stares upon. since she is too stupid to know what to do ma

Whee~! Sounds like a great future to me.


Yes, little girl, dont be too smart. Dont learn how to read. Go be a stripper. I see you have the credibilities and thus have great prospects in this age old industry. You have so much natural flair that it is as scary as smart girls.

Happy Birthday = Selamat Hari Jadi = 生日快乐 = Today

When I was nine, I always hoped to be one year older. On my nineth birthday, I wished I was ten. To me, being ten meant that I can stay up late, listen and to what the adults wanted to say and actually say something without them hushing me up when I open my mouth. Besides that, 10 two numerals mah.. more grown up.Then, all I wanted was to be TEN.

Boy, was I happy when my tenth birthday arrived.

Ten years passed since the day I turned nine. Today is the day I turn nineteen. And no, I am not wishing that I am 20 right now.

This is the first time celebrating my birthday away from home. Somehow it feels rather unusual without having my family besides me on my birthday... So strange indeed. I miss them indeed.

Thanks everyone who had wished me a happy birthday. No matter in what way you say it, I feel grateful that you care enough to remember me when you all have pages of formulas to memorize, piles of unfinished accounts tutorials to 'settle', Physics theories to remember.. haha. Even if you remember due to friendster, thanks for even bothering to send me a msg, nudge me to say happy birthday,for sending me e-cards..

Gosh, I ran outta ideas on what to write liao. I went about the whole day with hardly (if any) sleep at all. I all remember is tossing and turning for a long long time..it was not that I was worried of my BM paper, on the contrary. When I finally closed my weary eyes,(which felt like a second) my roommate called me up. WTF. So I went to take my BM test feeling like a zombie.. (thank god for coffee and for the fact that it was BM and not MATHS paper). Didnt managed to get any sleep in the afternoon as well. Weird thing is that I actually feel very much awake then.

Which leads me to conclude: something is wrong with me today

Was half way munching down my plate of da pao-ed nasi goreng kampung today while watching Death Note anime version while arguing with my housemate that Kira is better looking than L,multitasking =P when Wendy made an unexpected call to Mei Wei aka roommate. (since I almost always leave my phone in my room-thus making it very hard to contact me)

After some confusion on Mei Wei's part, in which she gave up trying to understand what Wendy was trying to say, she passed her super new but tebal phone to me.

This is how our conversation went

Me: wei?
Wendy: Come over to my house now!!
Me: huh? for what leh?
Wendy: Come over then know la
Me: -.-' arent u supposed to be taking a test tomorrow?
Wendy: Ya, I am taking a test tomorrow. I am on my house's roof now!!
Me: 0.o !! Dont be stupid!!

HAHA!
Figured out later that she and her housemates managed to lend a ladder to climb their house roof. Went over to her house to see six people staring down on me.

So what did I do?
JOIN THEM LAH!

I can see you asking, what is there to do on top a roof of a one story house which is located directly opposite TARC main entrance?

Sitting on the roof and feeling the night breeze, it makes me feel so free, bringing back memories of a happy childhood when I used to climb trees, run around catching tadpoles and dragonfiles,hanging upside down from my kindergaden's monkey bars (much to my teachers' dismay),climb into monsoon drains, run in the rain... I suppose I was a quite a brat huh?

In times when happiness is always linked to the material things, incidents like this make me remember that true happiness is derived from simple pleasures of life and good company. Although the roof was dirty, dark and we only sat on newspapers, we had a good time laughing and waving at poor passerbys, without a care of how people would view us...

Next time, if you wanna destress, please proceed to climb to the roof of your house and yell your lungs out.

Exams! Oh why art thou was invented?

Exams as Torture Mechanisms oh so true

Administering of exams is a form of torture which has survived from the Dark Ages. Unlike stretching people, drowning them in cow shit, or pouring scalding oil on happy children, examinations are one of the few horrors of old which are still considered socially acceptable.

Worldy problems associated with exams include stress, incontinence, and death.

From my viewpoint:
Exams:
I agree with the above mentioned that exams are a form of worldly torture mechanism which is invented by some dung brained moron. That, would be, in my opinion, one of the darkest moments of humanity. With its invention, humanity had plunged into dark ages ever since.

Education and exams In Malaysia:
In Malaysia, the salt is added to the wound as politicians decide that 10 subjects is a minimal and an acceptable form of legal torture bestowed upon innocent wide eyed school children. Quantity gets a upperhand compared to quantity Escaping the system is not possible unless one 1) wins 4d (so can go overseas to study) 2)gets admitted to some happy place in Perak aka: Tanjung Rambutan 3)dies.

Unfortunately, with the exception of happily winning 4d, the other two options seem pretty bleak. This is probably one of the better reasons why Malaysians are so obsessed with 4d. Toto and magnum bosses are probably flying Boing 747s full of money to their swiss bank account as I am typing. buggers

As competative citizens of 'bolehland' Malaysia Boleh! ma.., we like to accuse our southernly neighbour Sinagapore of being kiasu, yet again, we think that sending kids to extra tuition classes in addition to ballet classes, piano classes, singing classes, acting classes and art classes is socially acceptable form of 'education'. Kids nowadays can just kiss goodbye to the sweet simple pleasures of this thing called childhood.

Education has also become something parents like to compare about when they gather. The point is that the more tuition centers your poor child gets admitted to, the better off financially you are. In addition, it is thought in certain parts of KL that if a child is not admitted to a montessori kindergarden and does not drink dumex, they will be automatically doomed to a lifetimes of B and C, oh perhaps even worst, F!! gasp

Tell me, where is the logic?

Education should be an enjoyable experience. Once upon a happier time, I used to like studying. no kidding As I get older, I feel it has become rather pointless to sit around memorizing facts and poking at my calculator, learning something which I doubt will help me much in the future. We live in a generation where the quantity of As is more important than the process of education itself and where children are thought to be stupid even if they scored 5As. Happily enough, my parents were not caught in the education rat race and thus, I have always had a free hand in deciding what I want and what I wanna do. But, it pains me to see my cousin being shipped off to kindergaden at the tender age of three. My aunt even submitted an application form to her choice of primary school when my cousin sis was barely four! what the [insert applicable word here]

goodness. What is wrong with the world?
sigh.. I suppose it is time I have to join the rat race in this paper chase society.My evil economics paper beckons.

Ps: If this comes out for my English paper today, I'll probably scream the roof off the sport complex. Wish me luck lah!

Dreaming of sunny days during a rainstorm

Exam is next week and here I am lazing around in front of my computer with my msn switched on with the nickname 'Pretending to be studying', which is of course fact. And the fact is that I should be shut away in a deserted island where there is no internet connection, annoying housemates and junk food to distract me just consumed a packet of twisties + 4 choki-choki bars+ burger special

Somehow, studying can make a person hungry.
(Or maybe its just me)

Whatever.I cant help it. I can't concentrate now.
Dammit, I think I see my three point something GPA flying far far away..

ANYWAY, back to the main point: Instead of studying,here I am dreaming of happier days after exams-HOLIDAYS!

Sigh.. but these again, are after all dreams during a rainstorm ain't it?
My weather forecast tells me that I shall be facing light showers on this thursday and saturday while major thunder storms are predicted to fall on next monday and tuesday.

I think I shall leave and sediakan my payung. After all, I dont wanna get drenched.

For guys, girls will change and vice versa. Girls, please dont forsake your original selves to please someone. To be happy, you must first please yourself. So please dont tell me that by cutting my hair short, I am actually committing a 'love suicide'. goodness.It sounds even more stupid when I type it out!! Always remember that people can change through the trials of time.Please dont get carried away my dear fiend, when things are moving too fast, something's not so correct. Dont think I am too cynical for my own words.

One thing leads to another

Was supposed to go house viewing ONLY with mei wei and some of her coursemates today at Genting Klang.

Then, someone started going on about wanting to get a haircut. To accomodate her, everyone decided to accompany her la. Manatau, the first shop we wanted to go in was full. Not deterred, we decided to go somewhere else nearby call Massage. haha.. weird name i know. But then again, unknown to us, the hairstylist there has won the Loreal's hair styling competition before! cool huh?

Manatau, everyone got a haircut. Including yours sincerely who had her hair cut yesterday and wasnt too happy with the results. haha.. this has got to be one of the most moronic thing I have ever done in awhile. Actually I didnt wanted to cut AGAIN, but my determination and resistance was brought down by the results of mei wei's and her coursemate's stephanie's hair.. So after some 'Yao Yao Ping' and 'bacang kuey' dunno what you call these in english., I went back in and cut my hair for the second time in less than 24 hours!!

And I had it cut short!
And now I have officially become leng chai material =p

Yeah, stupid really. But hang on to your frilly pink french underpants! Before you think I am seriously lacking in gray material, let me tell you it was rather worth it. I like my new hairstyle! I dont even feel sad losing all that hair! It actually felt so good without the extra weight on my head! But please dont tell me to cut botak since it should be LIGHTER,considering there is NOTHING The feeling is great! My head feels lighter and I feel so.. free. You feel like starting everything afresh all over again..

Tar college- Where last minute heros are made

With the exams coming soon, it has become rather noticable that many students are starting to use up their quota of pontenging 3 times. All of a sudden, canteen two has become less congested and the library seem to have become a little bit noisier and less empty.

That is senario one. Senario two would be of course, the last minute hand up of assignments. Due to the 'fly incident' my friend swore off canteen two's 'Chap fan' for as long as possible. we'll see about that.. So, as good friends, me and my other coursemates decided to opt for clubhouse food today. sounds fancy no? They had quite alot of choices for us to choose from. My friends and I were amused to see there is "lala" fried rice =)

While eating. we noticed something really unique which wasn't in the menu.

The earliest birthday celebration EVER

Woke up today without expecting much. Ended the day with unexpected twists (good ones =). For one, my BM presentation marks was announced, which caught me by surprise. Then the four in one birthday celebration dedicated to the executive boards' January Babies, namely: me, yi hua, pooi moon and sek wei.


I got a pink pig! omg. so huggable!

I am really speechless. If any of you guys happen to be reading this. I cant even begin to express my gratitude for the effort you all put into organizing the gathering. For once I am out of words. All I can say is thank you.

Tarc college is really a very busy place, with thousands of people going in and out of its gates daily. So yeah, alot of amusing sights and sounds can be seen daily. like the guy with black stokings (he's a legend already), a guy wearing formal to paint the college walls (kasut somemore kilat kilat), a guy with Gatsby model lookalike hair.. the list goes on..

So when I heard a story about my classmate getting confused when he wanted to enter the boys toilet near DKA, I was interested to know the REASON WHY.

And yeah, I dont exactly blame him. Look and see la..

Yes, the age long advice was proved true yesterday during lunch time yesterday when my classmate discovered an expected ingredient in her mixed rice. aka cap fan

I can't describe the look on her face. But I recalled it was something similar to this..


She ate the whole plate of rice anyway despite having the damned specimen placed in front of us anyway.After all, we heard of people finding other insects in their mixed rice anyway ie: vegetable worms However, we thought it is an urban legend. like the rumours that some SSSH guys apply makeup in the boys toilet.. or the rumours saying sri rampai's LRT station was closed because it is dreadfully crowded with a population of vengeful spirits

Besides, you dont really expect much from RM 2 mixed rice dont you?
But hey, there goes my faith in canteen food.

Someone once told me that everyone carries a mask with them wherever they go. Sometimes they might even carry several, taking on different personalities as they meet different people. Only to take of the mask when they are alone.

That, ladies and gentleman is the art of living.
You don't need to be Julia Roberts or Brad Pitt Or Angelina Jolie Or any politician to wear that mask on the stage called life.

The only difference between them and us is that they are better looking.

Sometimes, I am so tired of all this phoniness. As simple as one tries to be, there is no way one can emerge out of this life without unaffected by one's surroundings. I am tired of wearing the mask. Yet, without it, don't we all feel almost vunerable having to face this world without having something to shield all the skeletons in our closets from public scrutiny, our greatest hopes and expectations, and our insecurities and fears. It is simply too cruel a fate to be brought upon ourselves dont you think? That's why all of us prefer to live behind Mardi Gras-like masks instead of our real faces. After all, the latter is really such a sad contrast compared to the painted porcelain faces.

Indeed the greatest actors and actresses do not walk the stage of Broadway. They exist everywhere. Undetectable and oh so unsuspecting, they could be anyone. They have been fooling you for years and perhaps will continue fooling you for many years to come as well. That is the drama of life and as they say, the show must go on no matter what. And so it will.

Sometimes though, I think we are the greatest fools in our little masquerade.

Of fairy tales and Happy New Year

Once upon a happy time, before earthquakes in another part of the world begun disrupting our daily ritual of msn-ing til our fingers bleed, blogging grandmother grandfather stories, surfing pointless websites like uncyclopedia, counting the number of 'friends' you have in friendster and blasting monsters into bits of fine dust, we live happily ever after.

Then suddenly disaster strikes and we are left feeling like a bunch of walking living zombies. You feel your life suddenly have no purpose. No direction.What to do huh? We rely alot on internet these day no?

So that's why didnt update.

Before I forget.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

What is a new year without ridiculously unrealistic resolutions? It's like Christmas without santa, Chinese New Year without Choy Sun, Easter without the rabbit. So yeah here's mine in no particular order.

-get above 3.0 GPA for every semester. I dont ask for alot =)
-improve my mandarin lo.
-two words : DO HOMEWORK!
-two words also: dont procrastinate
-three words: study for coursework
-three words again :dont over spend
-four words: dont study last minute
-four words also: learn how to drive

-marry lee hom AND mike shinoda (after getting him to divorse his wife)0.o so greedy!
-go clubbing with angelin in the afternoon, order orange juice and dance like mabuk kayus =p

Basically, I just wanna enjoy myself while making sure I juggle my studies, activities and personal life well. Simple yet so complicated ya?
