I wont be deleting this after 2 days, I promise.
Circumstances do change people. Met up recently with a friend, she used to be an ok person, but then after working she just turned into ..uh. I dont like to say it but yeah a bitch. Aiyo :(
I for one dont believe people are born nasty. Ok so some people are more susceptible to nastiness it almost seemed natural. But really, I am still convinced that people. are. born. nice.
*insert sunshine and rainbows and smiley faces*
Then again I understand no one wants to be a sucker. No one likes the feeling of being used. Or cheated. So they protect themselves by acting the way they do. Some people just disappear. That also I get because there are times in life where people ask you how are you and you say ok and smile even though you feel like several thousand types of shit and you dont want talk about it because you dont want to rain on people's parade.
Dont you ever worry you might turn out to be someone you really dislike, if circumstances forces you to be?
For myself, am very afraid of turning out to be old, bitter, grumpy and totally lost in life. If apples do not fall far from the tree, I want to be a coconut. And float awayyyy.

i liked your metaphor at the end
there's this philosopher who did something on human nature, i think his name was jean-jacques rosseau, he said everybody's born pure and corruption comes from environment. float awayyyyy pal.
Huh? I hope that's not me that you're refering to :( ... i mean... well... we just met recently....
no no no. not you.
its someone else who i am certain, does not know the existence of this -.-
i am worried about that too. i am afraid i will turn out to be those scums who stereotypes people and judge people without understanding them first. but people say we will never know what the society will shape us to be. they say if we are stubborn enough with our believes now, we might lose out a lot.
i hope that will not happen to me.
yipin
yeah :(
so many people i know turn nastier after working. ok so perhaps you cant be all sugar and spice and everything nice at work, cause people might trod and make a pancake outta you. but at least leave the power suit and nastiness behind when you exit your workplace kan! -.-||
oh well.
