Regarding mei-qis and haircuts

Is it just me or do girls like to do things in groups?
toilet, shopping, go to class, shopping..
guess it must have been programmed since childhood
or maybe its just in our blood.

Yesterday was no exception. Since the semester break was really starting to get to us, mei wei aka roomate aka personal driver of the day managed to secure her brother's car (actually secretly 'borrow' the car.. shh!!) so we and our other college mates can go out!! Yeah!! destination: hair dresser.

Ironically, the hair dresser she took us to is named mei qi,the person who recommended the place to her is named mei qi and then she is bringing me (mei qi=my chinese name) along! weird huh?

So far, I know 2 mei qi-s in college. Another 2 of my coursemates happen to have sisters named mei qi. AND I had heard people calling mei qi-s in college halls/canteen. bloody tulan, why my name so many people use one!!! Very nice meh? Can start a persatuan liao!

The hairdresser's is located on the second floor in a row of shophouses. This is like your traditional hairdresser you went to since a kid where there's no fancy decor, no music and no hot hairstylist sad huh?.But I liked the place. The nice aunties made up for the hot hairstylists. Cheap somemore! $10 for haircut and $30 for highlights!! So i did BOTH! Mei wei went for a cut that looks a bit like ella from SHE. We then had fun gelling her hair up. haha!

Spider in toilet?

While browsing through my recent e-mails, I received a message from my friend named: " a malaysian friend sent this to me". Curious, I clicked on it.click ma click la.. Halfway though the mail, I sensed a rat. Something was just not right. Read and see for yourself..

Ladies.. killer spider in toilet
>>> >
>>> >To all travellers....Be cautious....
>>> >Just received from Malaysia .
>>> >
>>> >Three women in KL, turned up at hospitals over a 5-day
>>> >period, all with the same symptoms. Fever, chills, and
>>> >vomiting,à®followed by muscular collapse, paralysis,
>>> >and finally, death. There were no outward signs of
>>> >trauma. Autopsy results showed toxicity in the
blood.
>>> >These women did not know each other, and seemed to
>>> >have nothingà®in common. It was discovered,
>>>however,
>>> >that they had all visited the same Restaurant along
>>> >Jalan Kuchai Lama within days of their deaths.
>>> >The health department descended on the restaurant,
>>> >shutting it down.
>>> >The food, water, and air conditioning were all
>>> >inspected and tested, to no avail.
>>> >The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant
>>> >was rushed to the hospital with similar symptoms. She
>>> >told doctorsà®that she had been on vacation, and had
>>> >only went to the restaurant to pick up her check.
>>> >She did not eat or drink while she
was there, but had
>>> >used the restroom.
>>> >That is when one toxicologist, remembering an article
>>> >he had read, drove up to the restaurant, went into the
>>> >restroom, and lifted the toilet seat.
>>> >Under the seat, out of normal view, was a small
>>> >spider. The spider was captured
>>>and brought back to

JB showed up at a

>>> >Investigators discovered that the flight he was on

>>> >So please, before you use a public toilet, lift the
>>> >seat to
>>> >check for spiders. It can save your life! And please
>>> >pass this on to everyone you care about.

Somehow, the words kuchai lama. toilet. and spider didn't sound right. Malaysian toilets are generally so filthy that any sane person would rather tahan until they reach home. If that is possible that is. If not, the best we can do is to hold our breaths lar. The most atrocious part of it all is that we have to PAY for the use of toilets. HMMPH!! The chances of a spider surviving the stench = nil.

"Cik nak mandi atau buang ayer besar?"

Our goverment even organized a toilet expo at the end of august to "flush" the image of the country having foul smelling loos.no pun intended. Our DPM, Najib had even called upon for a "toilet revolution". whateverthehellitmeansla.I wonder if he uses public loos anyway? The slogan? "Quality Toilet, Quality Life"

behold, the national loo expo!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting notice that they need to eat almost EVERY two hours??

Anyway, back to the story.

Now do you understand why i smelt a rat?

So what did i do?

I googled it la.. duh!!

and I got this.

Apparently, some arse decided it was fun to revive the old chain letter by localising it. In the midst of editing it, the said idoit must have forgoten about the condition of our tandas awams. Either that or he/she has been blissfully avoiding them for many many years.

Some people need to grow a head.

NAIVE-ness

After much pestering I finally gave in to my sister's pleas to clean up the room. Excuse : She's going to take her PMR next week so she wants to study in a room which does not look remarkably similar to the dumpsite in Jinjang. HMMPH! ACTUALLY NO CHOICE ALSO LAH.. MY MOM JADI HER PENYOKONG PARTI!!

So off I went armed with my arsenal of weapons: garbage bag, broom and mop. Sigh...

After finding my past SPM papers, all my old spectacles since primary school, old school books,revisions books, half done add maths latihan-s,old collection of galaxie magazine posters,harry potter stuff, old school yearbook, diaries.... I found THIS.

My old autograph book,the circled yellow one.

After flicking through some of its pages I found this poem . Several years back, my old naive self (ok. maybe should say MANY years back) wouldn't give this much thought. I'd probably assumed my friend was just being stupid. Reading it NOW however is a different story. Check out poem 1 .

Somehow the whole thing looks SO WRONG..... the presence of ariel's sticker just seems to add to the irony of the whole situation.

My cha-dao-ness intensified when I flicked over to see which ass wrote me this piece of literature. Heck, it was my best friend in primary school. ELISA!!! OMFG! Who taught her to write this?!!

Oh joy!

I finally got this damned thing up and running!

and I'm not using my own layout this time!The last time I used geocities I ended up complusively changing the layout every few weeks.Aduhai.

moral of the story : too much free time and being too kiasu can cause a person to do stupid stupid things (Take note of kata ganda )

Another reason to rejoice...

SEMESTER BREAK IS HERE!!

meaning no lectures, no tutorial, no worrying about the size of my purse (went from fat > thin)and no worrying bout what to eat!

which also means I get to balik kampung!
Pengumuman : I have now reached a stage where home=house in KL, kampung=Klang) Ceh sounds so LC!!!

Living away from kampung has it ups and downs. But after staying at home awhile, I kinda grew fond of the place

Why my house rocks?

used to repel bad chi in addition of blessing fellow occupants during exams.

specimen 2-badminton racket (handle broken off) :

used to protect occupants (just in case there's a break-in?) and promote good health(remind us to exercise?).

specimen 3-Minnie mouse clock that always shows 1.47 :

No particular reason. Everyone's just too lazy to load new batteries that's all

specimen 4-Eveready Battery :

To increase and attract good energy (chi) in the house so occupants can live happily. Ironically, the battery is hanging right above minnie mouse clock. WTF-ness.
