Bimbo post. Look away.

Old hair, New do.

Seems to me everyone has been talking about the weather recently. Its been terrible. There are days which are so freaking hot that i actually looked at bald guys in envy.
T_T

But no way Im gonna part with my hair after the two years i spent growing them long. NO.

FYI, my last haircut was in.... October. Good grief.

Am not going to be updating this much for awhile as I have the worst exam schedule since SPM. Second week of may. 5 papers in 5 days. Back to Back. 2 of which are on the same day. With an average of 3 and a half hours each.

Mom's quotable.

"Assumptions. keep them to yourself, give people the benefit of the doubt, look beyond the surface. If people change, lets try to hope that they'll come to their senses and get back on track soon and if they dont, well, there's a reason why people change. the reason is called circumstances.

Be open minded. If the change is for the better, than embrace it. If it isnt .well, I suppose being friends we'd have to come to accept that things arent the same, you move on with life, and hope that maybe perhaps one day if you all suddenly bump into each other on the streets you'd still be able to sit on the same table and have a cup of coffee. Its not the end until you decide it is. "

(mk's mom, on friendship, 2009)

Mom, here my viewpoint on judging of change:

People should just try to put themselves in other's shoes before judging. before deciding what is black or white. what is right or wrong. because there are many things in life which are gray in color.many things which are neither right or wrong but more towards grabbing random chances and seeing if it works for you.

I dont know why Im suddenly writing about this, but i suppose everyone can relate to this. Coming of age, different backgrounds, different viewpoints, different lifestyles and being in different places. They all cause gaps between people. Its a gradual process. It was a conversation I had with her after this argument we had over the effects of shifting schools too much.

She sure did shut me up. fast.
All hail the wise one.

Oh yeah mothers day is coming up. Please dont forget and then go submit an FML entry on FML if your mom burnt your dinner "accidently". id have no mercy and click YDI (you deserved it).

Your life isnt fucked. You fucked it up yourself.

Okay, here's something you can do, try to think of something quotable which your mom had said/adviced you before and put it on your blog. Might be silly, mundane or funny, just as long as you found it memorable. Go :)

Believe.

There are many things which I want to believe in.
There are many people I really want to believe in.

Yet.
But.

Its not impossible, its just kinda hard sometimes.

Damn scams.

Ok shall not be talking about myself now cause talking about myself makes myself do deep thinking and that will provoke myself to think, question and try to find solutions to problems I am incapable of solving, and thus cause me to feel unhappy.

People are often happier when they dont question the state they are in.
ohm.

Anyway, since me and my housemates have nearly been scammed by this bunch of people who claim that we need to pay for mosquito fogging which we all know is provided free by the government (yeah kinda silly to try to scam people using THAT excuse) i shall talk about the scams which I have personally came across.

Situation 1.
Monk in KFC.
First glance I didnt see anything out of place.
Then I saw he was eating.. a dinner plate.

Something doesnt equate there:
Dinner place=3 piece chicken+ mash potato+ salad+bun
Monks= Vegetarians.

Dont tell me you buy a dinner plate just to eat the salad+ potato+ bun okay.

Situation 2

Blind man walks into lrt.
Takes an empty seat.

He folds his walking stick up.
Okay. maybe he's making space so people wont trip. How considerate.

Then this hot chick walks in.
His eyes follow her in.
Eh? Coincidence maybe.

Then hot chick walks out.
His eyes follow her out.

Then few stops later he walks out.
Without his walking stick.

Everyone's eyes follow him out.

Ladies and Gentleman, did we just witness a miracle?

Situation 3:
An aunty just grabbed my friends arm and slipped a buddhist bracelet on her wrist and told her "Blessing for you... donation please"

*smiles, palms out*

Wow.
Simple. Direct. To the point.
(Not really counted as a scam due to the tactlessness of the aunty, but oh well)

Situation 4:
(again. not really a scam but i think its worth mentioning)

Old neighbour.
Well dressed. Looked like *nice* office people.
They fleed their home in the middle of the night suddenly one day.
Turns out they owed the loan sharks a significant amount.
Kaki judi kononnye.

I even remembered the couple smiled at me when I bumped into them a day before they suddenly shifted out.
I remember thinking "hm they seem nice"

Riiight.

This is why city people are generally aloof, cold and unfriendly.
If a stranger smiles at you they are probably gonna try to sell you something.
If a stranger talks to you, they are probably out to get you.

So we people came out with a solution to avoid such unfortunate happenings: we walk around in earphones and look at our ipod screens to block out looking and talking to others. And despite the fact that we bump into probably hundreds of people everyday, we dont talk much.

(ps: this is a very old picture, but its so pretty that i had to use it twice. Bon Odori 2008)

These fine lines...

.. they are invisible, yet everywhere. We feel its presence. They separate all of us, yet they are known to intertwine at times. There are lines we put up for others: to ensure that everyone gets enough breathing space and privacy. Then there are lines we draw for ourselves: personal barriers, to keep ourselves in check and out of trouble.

Some lines are drawn thick, some are drawn thin. These lines, we draw them around us. Sometimes they protect us, sometimes they are hindrances: preventing us from better-nicer-happier things.

Some people need to learn to be more flexible, and let others in.
While some people need to learn to step out of the lines they drew.

What kinds of lines do you draw?
