First Post of 2008 whey!

Happy new year folks!
Yes, its official. Its 2008!
And since I last check the world hasnt collaped,
the internet lines are still working,
and terrorists havent decided to bomb our neighbourhoods.

In fact, the clock reads 12:15 as I am typing.
I can hear the fireworks whizzing away and going off in the distance.
All night people have been asking me the same question on msn:

"eh did go countdown?"
to which I have provided the perfect answer:
"my new year's resolution is to be a good girl this year. Need to start practicing now."

First song of the year: Goo Goo Dolls's Better days cause the lyrics seem rather auspicious and appropriate.

The first thing I did: this year was to open up an account on deviant art.

Yay to me!
Somehow I feel good for accomplishing something on the first minute of the year.
hahaha!

And of course what is new year without resolutions?
This year, I'll not be long winded and bore the pants off of you guys. So I have put my resolutions in drawing. Unlike my crazy past resolutions, my resolutions this year are pretty simple and rough. Not too easy, but somewhat obtainable. I just hope I have the determination and not procrastinate.

Accounts is first.
Oh crap.
I have no idea what went on during accounts lecture the whole semester!
Just masuk, copy and keluar.
And I think I did horribly in the coursework.
oh dear.
I need divine help.
I need it now.
Quick, get me some colok!

3days later...
is Tamadun Islam.
Ok not so shitty cause we'll be tested on the back chapters only.
And coursework stands around 40% of the results.
Which everyone did resonably well thankfully.
whew!
This paper is a good chance for everyone to aim for A!

2days later...
Commercial Law of Malaysia.
Great la, give us history,
which requires memorizing,
then throw us law 2 days later,
which requires MORE memorizing!
I can almost hear my serebrum screaming.

NEXT DAY
Basic Management Principles.
Coursework I scored ok enough.
But still,
quite alot of things to remember.
Scared my brain scarred from all the memorizing from history and law
then shut down cause feel too traumatized and overworked.

I like economics.. but
of all days in the year!
why must it be on the

Hello to my dear friend: skeptic.

Fiction. Objects of fantacies. Of imagination. Of dreams and hopes. Yup, most of the time unreachable and oh so unobtainable. Yet, dont we all wish to escape into the very depths of fiction and live happily ever after like some of the characters from the gay fairytales which our parents made us believed in when we were young? Even if the spell only lasts for awhile?

Wake up and smell the fresh java my princess.


Facts. Is reality. The truth of life. And most of the time, they arent pretty to handle. Like cancer, it manifests in time and slowly but surely devours you from the insides, eating your living self from inside out until you are too weak to cry out for help. Eventually you let out a feeble squeak, shudder abit and dies like that frog you dissected for biology in secondary school..mati katak appropriately put.

I have always been cynical at heart. Oh yes, the skeptical one. Even when everyone else was shaking hands and agreeing happily on something which they think is great, I'd still be the last one in the room to agree. That is if I agreed anyway. hmm...

If there was a one to raise their hand during a wedding when the pastor said "speak now or forever hold your peace" I might stand a higher chance of raising my hand to object.

So forgoodnesssake people, think twice before inviting me to your weddings.
But if it is MY WEDDING, I'd throw the pastor's book at whoever who dares to object ok?

Recently I have become less cynical. And less critical of things around me. And it feels kinda great when you arent so hard on yourself. But then again, when you expect less, you get less. You slack and get fucking demotivated. Its like someone came along and sucked out all the spirit in that sponge of yours. and yes, I have become more irresponsible in the process and a serial ffk-er. (fong fei kei)

what happens to a dehydrated sponge. hmmm....
To the nice people of my life: Sorry. I am such an idoit. I probably dont deserve to have such good people around me. Such long suffering souls you are, to be able to put up with me. Or maybe its bad karma or something.To be destined to meet me? Anyway, This has made me conclude that god is a pretty cool dude as well. I wonder if he gives out autographs?

I seriously need to find a balance.
Can someone please feed me with a health dose of skeptism and optimism?

Sorry if I had to hit you with something so deep at the end of the year. lol but I just had to get it off my system.

Anyway, went countdown-ed in Sunway with my classmates. In pic: Mei See, me, Qiqi, wen li and li ching. The guys were too busy checking out the chicks there. Especially meng loon haha. Denis missed his alan. And qiqi's bf was the photographer. Jian Hong and his friend disappeared that time. Wilson was probably checking out the mei meis too. And Chun yih and choi were too camera shy. haha.

Was it fun? I think just ok only la. Maybe cause everything was planned last minute and there werent enough sprays to get around. hmmph.

Syok = Damn good feeling

Travelling is such a weird thing you know. I used to detest travelling to Penang with my folks cause mainly all they did was to

1.Go find relatives which we never met in years and have the same comments being thrown at me "wah, kaykay so big already wor! Last time I saw you, you were like THIS tall!" Ish. Then la datang itu semua classic questions. "eh do you have special friend already?" with a wink.

I normally just feign ignorance and tell them that all my friends are special.
haha!

2. Go pray
3. Go Temple pray
4. Go butterfly park for the thosandth time.
5. Rush around like mad but dunno go where. So very weird lah.

This 48 hours shown me that travelling with different people brings out different outcomes. At least, like what Aimee said, very hard to find realible non-sissy travel mates.

I mean, would my folks
1.Take me to Love lane and to get chased by ah guas?
2.Find the G-Spot Its not what you think it is people. Go find G-Hotel and ask lah. I am serious.
3.Eat portions of food which can last us 3 days normally in one day?
4.Read the karma satra out loud to me?
5.Say perfectly normal things that sounds so wrong all the time?
Answer: nahnahnahNAH.

Anyway, speaking of syokness, whats penang without the food? I'll spare you of long explaination and let the pictures talk to you.


Asam Laksa near Kek Lok Si. Kah Hoe looked like he just discovered christmas, chinese new year, hari raya and deepavali ALTOGETHER.

Popiah goreng also near kek lok si. Asam Laksa stall's neighbour. Super. And affordable too.


Yi Pin said he found his true calling with them burgers and proclaim them to be the original crabby patties. Wait til he tells his mom he wanna flip burgers for a living. Store located at Batu feringgi, one of the lanes around the Toy Musuem there.


Hokkien mee cintan. Not bad la, but have eaten better.


We ordered this twice. Heavenly fried oysters. Around the place where we had the hokkien mee. Its in the town center near the road with 9 banks.



Chee Cheong Fun with loads of Hea-Ko. Yum! McCalister Rd. The kuey teow is also not bad lah.


Ho Chiak sticker spotted at Ampong stall near Jalan Bangkok there. Good. Good. Good.


Mee Goreng with Indian Uncles which speak good hokkien. damn. Mee goreng was oklah. Not as amazing as the asam laksa or burger or cheong fun.


Angelin love for roti bakar is the same with her love for angmoh men. hehe. But I love this stuff as well la.. yum. Nothing like them anywhere.


Damn I'm already suffering from withdrawal sympthoms of Penang food. Thank god for Tambun biscuits =)

Instruction: Decrease dosage as sympthoms fade.
