Eyes On Titiwangsa
A beautiful display of lights, cameras and action.
With the hype surrounding the latest addition to Tasik Titiwangsa, I was curious to visit it and see it for myself. okay, so I know it'll be stuck there for a year... but still..
So when Wendy asked me if I wanted go along with her to see it, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. like duh..I still cant drive! Besides that, the prospect of escaping to Sungai Wang aka lalaland before watching fireworks at night at Tasik Titiwangsa was too delicious to be missed. Good opportunities are not to be missed. So I dragged Pui Yan and Yu Bin along as well =P
Whats there to do when you are not driving? Harass the driver!!
Didnt buy anything much at lalaland though, just that most of the clothes I see that day dont seem to be of my liking. Try as I may,I am unable to grasp the concept as to why there is a need to wear two or three layers of clothes in this sweltering malaysian weather
Armed with the information that the fireworks display would be at 10pm supplied by me. damn paiseh which turned out to be wrong, we only made it out of lalaland where woman of all ages are busy grabbing clothes like they are free.. scary! we escaped at around 9, only to find ourselves stuck in this terrible traffic jam. Totally eluded our recollection that it was a saturday.
Who says KL hardly standstill?
We made it there eventually. So we squeezed ourselves amongst the couples, doting parents with crying babies, camwhores, hawkers, photographers, ah lians, ah bengs and dangerous aunties who dont UNDERSTAND the IDEA of LINING UP. Just because you are older doesnt mean you get to bang people aside to get ahead. siao! If our senior citizens cant even behave themselves, how do you expect the younger generation to act?? Sometimes, old people are so hypocritical.
I also noticed another thing. ALmost EVERYONE has a handphone camera now. Just go to any tourist area and you'll see people snapping away with their camera phones. I noticed alot of people using the motorola Rzar. Yeah so the whole scene is like taken from some sort of maxis advertorial, you know, with EVERYONE snapping photos at everything they see like they have infinite space on their handphone memory cards.Only few people actually used digicams including yours sincerely
The gigantic ferris wheel is so pretty illuminated against the starry night sky. So I snapped like mad.
Snap!
Snap!
From the inside
We took sometime to snap at ourselves as well.
images are edited with photoshop to minimize the effects of shooting without flash. Yes, I was dumb enough to forget to set the flash on.
Take one!
Take two!
Take three!
All together the ride is 12 minutes, $15 for adults the ferris wheel went 5 rounds. So technically thats $3 per round 0.o! $1.20 per minute... okay, I should stop counting.. $8 for kids/seniors/diabled and $100 bucks for the whole gondola with popcorn, dvd player..and godknowwatelse Ridiculous really, why would you wanna watch DVD when you can look at KL lights??
There are things for sale there as well, shiny glow in the dark sticks which kids love so much, flowers valentines ma and food. SUPER EXPENSIVE FOOD MIND YOU. A normal ice-cream cone is 3 bucks la wei!!
By the time me and wendy reached home, it was already almost 1.30 am. o.0!!
We were so blur we missed the klang junction and needed to do a U-turn at kesas. But altogether,it was a rather fun day.
Tiring yes. But fun =)
With an unexpected twist.
