Le Tour Mid Valley
Sunday with the 3Ms: mcd, mcky and movie

Sundays are special. So special to the point that it is almost holy. Usually I spend my holy days lazing around at home doing what ever I please (which usually involves alot of screens and food =). And once in a blue moon, I will venture out of my humble abode thus breaking the almost blissful ignorance of the outside world to lepak.

Last Sunday,I spent my sunday with one of my favourite people in the world. Someone I've known for almost all my secondary life. I remembered I first saw her during PJK class, this small but very noisy first former.. haha

Thanks angelin for being my tour guide of Mid Valley Gosh, I didnt know Mid Valley had changed so much in one semester! and assisting me on my quest to obtain a bag for classes. And for catching me when I fell down the steps in the cinema. or more like I fell, then you pulled me up.. wateverla thanks

My purchases. Original mcky. Guess how much?

Anyway, we watched Simpsons the movie. Yeah, THE simpsons which is moronic, stupid ,doesnt make any sense cause the people are yellow and marge has blue hair that defies gravitational pull.

Even the trailer is so ridiculous. Homer holding his pig against the ceiling going "spiderpig, spiderpig, does whatever a spiderpig does" isnt what I'd call normal. Or entertaining. its just plain... weird.

But screw it, its really REALLY good. The plot is mad, entertaining, and probably the most creative piece of cartoon I have seen in awhile. And refreshing after all the corny cartoon movie plots. And this is the first time I have seen so many people laugh like mad fucks during a show. Especially during bart's little unfortunate incident on his skateboard. oh. my. god.

Oh yeah, watch out for the snow white spoof in the movie. And the hilarious one liners. And Lisa's irish boyfriend.

Just watch it for goodness sake. Its so worth sacrificing a holy Sunday and eleven bucks.

Weird sense of humour

Been wanting to post this up for awhile already. Cause some rather unfortunate people express utter disbelieve in the findings of Professor Mickey aduhai. So yeah, here is photographic evidence that one of the Tbr mamak stall owner has a very twisted, not to mention slightly perverted mind. =P

Roti Jantan = 2 telur !! I find it very simbolic =)

As expected, people tend to ask me how in the world does a roti jantan look like? Hmmm hmm.. here's one of my classmate's guess : "Is it a piece of roti rolled up? You know, like popiah?" (ikut shape)

Hahaha! Like WTF! I foresee he has a great future in the challenging and ever growing industry of local beverage and food industry called the mamak. =)

Although I've seen the menu everytime, I'd always end up looking at that part of the menu and start wondering to myself "If there was a roti betina, how will it be like?"

I think I'll just leave you guys with your imagination. Goodnight la wei =) =)

Let the shroud of secrecy be revealed!

After all those years of waiting.
After all the movies (which, in my opinion, failed horribly. AGAIN and AGAIN).
After all the hype.
All the curiousity and wild guesses.

FINALLY, harry potter 7 is out!!!!

My sister and mom (who was so great to wake up so early on a saturday) woke up at the ungodly hour of 6.30 am so that they could buy the latest book at Tesco. such sacrifice! such impatience!

I on the other hand, slept til 12pm. haha, I am such a blood traitor.

Upon picking up the book, feeling its smooth shiny hard cover and feeling the weight of its thickness on the face of my palm, I felt strangely sad. Yes, sad. But delighted as well at the prospect of finally knowly what will happen to our hero. And slightly scared that he will suffer the fate which many had predicted.

Harry Potter. He has an extremely fond place in my heart since primary six. Amist the hype of the release of the four book, my dad decided to get me one. It was rather unfortunate that after obtaining the book, my mom hid it away as I had UPSR trails to attend to. Unknown to her, I secretly found the book and stole it away, reading it instead of practicing my hanyupinyin and finishing it within four days.

When she finally presented the book to me after my trails, I told her "I have read it already". She was very wtf-ed.

Before I read about harry's little adventures, I have had enid blyton and nancy drew to keep me contended. And of course, whichever random book which I took to fancy. Since I could string a sentence properly, I was drawn to books, to words, to stories and adventures waiting to be discovered within pages.

At a certain point, my liking of harry turned into a mild obcession, with me collecting everything and anything related to it. Pictures, newspaper cutting, chocolate frogs, posters, trading cards. You name it, and I bet I'd have it. Damn, thanks to harry, I even dabbled into web designing, creating a fansite dedicated to him at geocities when I was 13. hahaha.. omg I cant believe how silly I was back then

Alot of people msn-ed me when I went online msn today with the message bought harry potter 7 liao. harry dont die!. They asked me how was the story, and most importantly, who DIED.

Book seven reveals alot of history.
of hidden skeletons in closets and regrets.
of unreturned affection and love.
of unrelenting faith in others.
of valour and courage.
of learning to trust upon your instincts and be free to make your decisions.

The cover isnt pretty and yeah it might be draggy at parts. And perhaps slightly predictable and little cheesy at the end. Many died. Most survived. A child was left orphaned. Yet, it managed to hold a punch which we all needed after the half blood prince.

Some of us grew up with pokemon and digimon. Some grew up with power rangers. Some grew up with doremon. I'd like to think I grew up with harry.

Minimum Entry Requirements
What are your requirements?

I was absent mindedly flicking through my college's booklet which I stole for my sister. haha. that bugger who hardly cooks wanna take hotel management, when I came upon this picture.

I suppose its a mistake. And I wonder if anyone else noticed it.But ouch! Thats our queen for crissake. We as normal people, can never ever meet such entry requirements ok?

Later, after reading angelin's blog, I kept thinking about this picture. I dont know why. It's silly really. Its funny, pretty pictures can make people equally distressed as well.

Have you ever felt like you are not good enough? Not giving all you've got?
Lately, I have been having these bouts of disatisfaction. No matter how hard I try, I still think its not enough. Its really tiring really, all this negativity.

First, my grades arent good enough.
I am almost always late no matter how early I wake up.
I think I havent been contributing enough in my group.
I havent been actively participating in society lately.
My hair is a mess. Yet I cant cut it cause I want it long again. =(
I think I gained weight.
AND I have been rejecting friends to yum char or lepak with them.

..... haih. I believe I am not alone. I bet it has to do with too much assignments and mid terms. The next picture is photographic evidence.

Why are so many people turning up to lectures in black lately? Macam mourning for something only.

I should stop this negativity. I am starting to get on my own nerves already.. blabbing on and on..

All this thinking made me hungry. So I am off for a sandwich and some milk. I will leave you with a happier picture that I took on the way back to klang today. Just to show that I am fine and not flipping mad.

camwhoring with lee hom at KL central. This is one guy who meet every girl's maximum requirements =p

Tarcians have talent,beauty.. and Jack Separuh!
A very damn panjang post. Goodness gracious.

Everyone has a mission, a goal, a target.. for every single thing in life. Of course, it varies with every person. Some people strive for long term goals, some for short ones. Some are just bloody unrealistic to the point that they can be regarded as full fledge hallucinations bless them. Thankfully, most of the people I know are perfectly grounded.

Anyway, the point is: We must have a direction in life.
After all, if Mat rempits can reform, head off to the hometown of santa and (somehow)make some politicians proud, we start questioning ourselves "whats impossible?"

Anyhow, one of my short term goals for this semester is to attend the Talentine Night AND Orientation Odessy. AND of course, score well la Tsk Tsk. I came to college to study you know?

And yeah, I achieved my goal okay? Damn proud la wei! Not everyone can manage to watch BOTH during their junior year and senior year okay?

Last year's tickets. I had a VIP ticket for goodness sake. And it had the word parent written on it... -.-'

So how did this years's event flair?

The crowd
Or more appropriately, "where IS the crowd?" Last year's events was so fully packed that there was no place left for people to sit. As a result, some people at the back had to stand for four hours for Talent Nite 2006. Fortunately, me having a VIP seat had the priviledge of having my butt firmly planted on the seat during the whole show. Nevertheless, I went home abit deaf. Partly from the speakers beside me and the screaming people behind me.

It is weird that everyone was complaining about the lack of tickets when during the actual event, there were empty seats to be filled.

The lighting and sound
Talent Nite this year boosts one of the best lighting and sound system I had seen in a college organized event. Very bloody professional if you ask me. However, Orientation Nite's was... erm lacking in standard.

The Talent and Beauties
Talent Nite this year was not short in Talent this year. Neither was last year's. One of the more memorable performances had to be the pair that played maxim's Bumblebee with a chinese traditional intrument called Yang Qing. Amazing, that one.

There was also a very very artsy but rather cute contemporary dance by these bunch of Kuantan girls clad in Japanese costume. I suppose there is a hidden message behind the dance. Yet, being a dungu di bawah tempurung I cant really understand its meaning. Anyway, the dance was pretty. And it was refreshing after all the hip hop dances.

The beauties for this year's orientation is... acceptable. The girls all very pretty. But short. Most of them being around 155 cm only. The guys on the other hand, were all super super tall. The shortest was like 175cm? Goodness gracious. Some people complain that most of the guy contestants werent good looking enough, just tall.

The Emcees
As usual, for such college level activities, our college's famous emcee, Samson, will always have a hand in hosting the event.

For this year's Talent Nite, he had a smaller part in hosting as they had a new category of talent for emceeing. He only appear a short while dressed as Jack Separuh.

The winning emcees were invited to host OO nite. Its pretty ironic that all three emcees are of the three main races of our country. Faizal is malay, Amanda is chinese and Samson is Indian. So ngam

The dressing
The dress code to both the events are formal. Meaning, girls are required to run around in dresses and sissy shoes while guys can get to strut around in leather shoes and bowties.

Last year's events security was so terrible that even people who dressed ala lala or worst, I even saw someone who wore tarc t-shirt and jeans! walao. Bet that siao kia dunno how to read. Thankfully, this year they didnt simply admit people.

As usual, my housemates did some camwhoring after being decked in formal wear. Vain people Aduhai. we tahaned until four am la wei just taking pictures. Maybe steamboat makes people more vainer. Go figure.

I wont kill your eyeballs with all the pictures. So here is one of the nicer one la. Albeit a bit blur.

Its 5 am and I havent slept yet. And i have class at 8am. Meaning that I will simply just 'float' to class instead of walking.

Remind me how to spell the F word?

Ten thousand why-s

Human beings are very keh-poh things. We love to mind people's business too much, poking our annoying noses into things that have absolutely no connection with us. For most part, we will only know how to tarik diri (sorryla cant remember the english word for this) when our little noses get burnt by very cross people.

Correct not?

I used to be very keh poh as a kid. To the point when it annoyed my parents so. I would always ask them questions which they cant answer, dont want to answer or prefer not to answer.

eg: "why is the sky blue?"

Thankfully, I am much much better now. After all, my nose had received its fair share of burns.

Yet still, being true to human nature, I still ask why. Albeit I ask more reasonable ones... like,

Why is Wai Keh sitting on a CHAIR in lecture hall when there are benches? And where the hell did the chair come from?

Yes, he's a saujanian. My ex-classmate in form 1 Usaha and currently is my coursemate. I dont recognize him the first time I saw him. He on the other hand, was like "mei kay ah?" Omigosh I have such bad memory.

Why are the toilets in Canteen 1 so bloody SHORT? If I tiptoe, I can actually SEE the cubicle beside me. And I am not really that tall. or maybe its because people in the past are shorter? Yeah, I take photos in toilets. Shhhh!

Why did it rain in the tutorial room last month? Or more like HOW?

Why are they asking us to walk gently? As far as I know, college students do not stomp up the stairs like a heard of raging hippos. We walk like dignified adults. =p

ok.. so I lied. We still make a hell lot of noise going up and down the stairs.

But asking us to step gently is so amusingly cute. Cause the stairs are very kukuh. Unlike the ones in saujana, which cracked after a few years.

Maybe they should think of putting this sign up in my old secondary school. hmmph..

Now why didnt they think of this?

A very VERY short horror story

Once upon a happy time just several weeks ago during a perfectly fine evening, my very selamba roommate was busy onlin-ing in my room I was still in in class when she heard some unusual noises.

Confused and a little bewildered, she came to the conclusion that someone was trying to open up the bedroom window that was partially closed. As seen from the picture above

She was afraid yes. But nevertheless, she summoned all her courage and opened the damn window.... only to find herself face to face with an Indonesian man.

After several seconds of staring at each other, my roommate asked the first question which popped into her mind.

You nak buat apa ah?

To which the unimaginative amateur wanna-be thief replied: "Cik nak beli barang ke?"

My roomate slammed the window in his face and headed to the living room. Far far away from the creepy fellow.

I tell you, the world isnt a safe place anymore. Even people who are minding their own business in their own rooms get harrassed by creepy, but very stupid illegal immigrants.

Fuck.
